NYC is covering a frightening 46% cases of the country. A good news is that New York’s crime rate has gone down greatly with a report of just one murder last week. Burglaries and assaults also went down.

Accused Christchurch mosque gunman pleads guilty : Brendon Tarrant, the Australian far-right extremist accused of killing 51 Muslim worshippers in New Zealand’s worst mass shooting a year ago, changed his plea to guilty in a surprise move on Thursday. The 29-year-old was admitted to 51 charges of murder, 40 charges of attempted murder and one charge of committing a terrorist act (92 in all).

A study on a group of medical students in the University of New South Wales found that they touched their faces, on an average, 23 times per hour — meaning, they were touching their face every 2.5 minutes. 44% of face touches involved contact with a mucous membrane (read, digging their nose, or the inside of their mouth!) while the remaining 56% involved touching a non-mucosal area. The majority of face touches to a mucous membrane are — close to 40% — were in the mouth, followed by the nose.
